It's a newly developed area, so I bet you wouldn't recognize it.

Joyce, I am always impressed by the amount of bookspotting (and reading!) you are able to do each week.

Sam, I haven't read any Rick Riordan either, but my younger siblings love those books.Shannon Younghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17375300716238391523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-848620772908416660.post-38005942846120018742011-11-01T04:23:23.719+08:002011-11-01T04:23:23.719+08:00I'm thinking I really should read something by...I'm thinking I really should read something by Rick Riordan.

I never really see anyone reading as I usually drive to work. I do like seeing what the children in my class like to read though - one of them is currently OBSESSED with Tintin.Sam (Tiny Library)https://www.blogger.com/profile/16375434438465319913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-848620772908416660.post-73435987195462090982011-10-31T16:55:14.098+08:002011-10-31T16:55:14.098+08:00A girl by the pool was reading Lea by Pascal Merci...A girl by the pool was reading Lea by Pascal Mercier. I'd not heard of this author before; a quick check on Amazon showed that this book is in German and not yet available in English. I'm reading "Beneath a marble sky" for Book Group #1 and "That woman" for Book Group #2 and I'm also reading Chris Thrall's "Eating smoke" when I get tired of reading-to-order. My son in Oz just emailed to ask my opinion of "Pigeon English" by Stephen Kelman which was on the Man Booker shortlist, he's bought it but hasn't started reading it yet.Saw two girls reading Chinese novels on the long ride out to Tung Chung on Friday. Saw a girl today holding (but not reading; does that count?) a huge anatomy textbook with a gruesome front cover of a human body with the skin peeled off, very apt for Halloween!Joycehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04457861370241862301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-848620772908416660.post-64294640964609182632011-10-31T10:35:32.139+08:002011-10-31T10:35:32.139+08:00Sounds like a great book! I struggled to get to page 50 for about 5 days, but now I like it.

Where did you take this photo? It's still weird for me to see the Chinese flag in HK.Susan Blumberg-Kasonhttp://www.susanbkason.comnoreply@blogger.com
